November 1, 2022, marked the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Visitor Control Center and perimeter fence at the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, also known as Rome Lab. The event was attended by Congresswoman Tenney, Rome Mayor Jackie Izzo, Senator Joe Griffo, Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon, and Rome Lab’s senior leadership, including AFRL Director Colonel Fred Garcia, Former AFRL Director Dr. Don Hanson, and U.S. Army Corps Engineer Mr. Kyle Davis. “Securing the lab with a state-of-the-art perimeter fence is recognition by the Air Force and our representatives of the importance of protecting the high tech innovation being developed by Rome Lab and its workforce,” said Alliance Executive Director MC Chruscicki.
