NPR Covers $3M Federal Award to Alliance/GI For Smart IoT Living Lab

Acknowledging Central New York’s emergence as a leader in technology innovation, large NPR affiliate public radio station WRVO with listeners across northern and central New York State covered the recent $3M federal award secured by Senators Schumer and Gillibrand. The grant, awarded to a collaboration between the Alliance and Griffiss Institute, supports the creation of a “Living Laboratory” to explore the evolving Smart Internet of Things (IoT). The Lab will be an open environment where industry, government and academe can work together to test and create the next generation of interconnected “smart” technology.
